ORIGIN / HISTORY

  • Indigenous to South Africa and South West Namibia
  • Occurring from the northern Bushmanland towards portions of Namaqualand
  • Its habitat is the succulent Karoo desert
  • It grows upon rocky slopes and quarzitic rocks
  • Synonyms are Crassula deceptrix and Crassula deltoidea
  • The name Crassula comes from the Latin crassus (fat)
