Light: requires full to medium sun exposure, frost hardy for a short period. Protect from excessive heat in the warmer months

Water: water regular in summer. Keep dry during autumn and winter. Keep in a well-ventilated area

Soil type: cactus substrate, which should be gritty but should also retain some moisture in the growing season

  • Endemic to Chile, occurs in the region of Antofagasta, between Antofagasta and Caldera
  • Dwelling at 50 and 1000m above sea level
  • Species occur in coastal hills
  • Water is obtained only from condensation
  • The population is stable at this stage
